Availability between appointments to help implement coping skills, and make treatment modifications is an integral part of my practice. Medication management is just one part of the holistic treatment approach I use for depression, anxiety/trauma, bipolar, ADHD, and borderline personality disorder in clients 13 and older.
For over 20 years, I have practiced meditation and mindfulness. Originally I received meditation training in India & Nepal as well as centers around the Unites States as part of grant funded research during college. I co-teach a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) course to help individuals decrease physical pain, stress, anxiety, and depression.
In addition, service is an integral aspect of my practice. Part of MBCT class is a FREE follow-up program, and I also volunteer at the Goochland Family Free Clinic. I hope to start developing more opportunities overtime through the Mindfulness RVA part of my practice!

Each client is unique and deserves the opportunity to tell his/her story so that an individualized treatment plan can be developed. While medication management is my primary focus, I view medication as a tool to provide enough stability that coping skills can facilitate recovery. To achieve this goal, I offer longer, unrushed appointments, teach mindfulness and meditation skills, and work closely with a client's therapist.
